Our Valentine’s Day Party will be on Friday, February 15th at 11:30. It will be a jungle theme. Trish would love to have parent help if you are available. Also, please send in $3-$5 to help with party expenses. Thank you! On the morning of the party, we will be exchanging valentines. Please help your child make a Valentine’s Day box for his or her cards. This can be as simple as a shoe box, or more elaborate if you would like. Please DO NOT label cards with names. It is much easier and quicker at this age if they can pass out a card to each student without finding that child’s box/name, etc… They can simply write who it is from and pass one out to each friend. Please send the boxes and cards in no earlier than Monday, February 11th. You may want to put the cards in a Ziploc bag to send to school. Sight Word Lists I just wanted to give a reminder about our sight word lists. These lists are to help each child learn the sight words at their own pace. If you will please work with your child on the list that they are on and then send it in when they know all of the words and phrases, I would greatly appreciate it! Sight words are so important in kindergarten because it really helps them when reading the level of books that are required in kindergarten. If you need a new sight word list, please let me know and I will gladly send one home. J I have 2 students that are very close to completing all 10 of the lists and will get to have a special lunch with me when they do. The goal for the end of the year is for students to master all 10 lists! Math You may have noticed that your child has not been bringing home math papers.
